March 18th marked the seventh anniversary of what has been known as Black Spring for Cuban dissidents, when 75 pro-democracy civilians were arrested in the island. To remember those that remain imprisoned, and the recent death of dissident Orlando Zapata Tamayo, a group gathered outside the Cuban Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City to protest repression in Cuba and to pay homage to those who struggle for freedom inside the island.
